From an Apple standpoint, the move was smart. You don’t want your competition on a board that makes critical decisions. However, to say Apple is not the least bit apprehensive about Google would be foolish.
It’s obvious Google is tired of all the limelight Apple is receiving for the iPhone 3G. Google is ready to challenge Apple. They are going to do whatever it takes–beginning with the myTouch 3G (official release date on August 5th).
Google will continue to put the pressure on. Apple knows it.
