Symptoms
Your iPhone or iPod touch may experience one of the following symptoms:
- Multi-Touch display (or touchscreen) does not respond
- Portions of the Multi-Touch display do not respond
- Multi-Touch display is very slow to respond
Resolution
If your device is experiencing any of the symptoms listed above, try the following steps:
- Clean the iPhone screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
- Do not wear gloves while using the Multi-Touch display. Do not use the touchscreen with wet hands or immediately after applying hand lotion. Moisture affects touchscreen behavior in the same manner as it affects a trackpad.
- If you have a protective plastic sheet or film on the touchscreen, try removing it. It may be preventing the touchscreen from working properly.
- If that doesn’t work, turn the device off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of the device for few seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
- If the device did not turn off, reset it. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for a least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If the steps above don’t resolve your issue, please walk-in to one of Dr. Cell Phone Repair Centers in Dallas, Frisco, Addison, Houston or Sugar Land Tx. If you do not live in close proximity to these areas you can visit www.drcellphone.com and arrange for a mail-in repair with Dr. Cell Phone. Most iPhone touchscreen problems are fixed in under an hour however for an accurate time estimate call the local repair facility by visiting Dr. Cell Phone website.
Note: iPhone Touchscreen replacement service currently available at Dr. Cell Phone includes repairs for models iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. iPhone 5 or the newer iPhone 4S or whatever apple names it, would be added to the list of available repair services right after its official launch by the manufacturer.

Verizon iPhone 4: Has Verizon CEO Admitted To Getting iPhone? Verizon has finally seemingly confirmed what appeared to be an obvious fact for ages. Verizon Wireless will indeed be offering a device called the Verizon iPhone 4 in the near future, if various anlyses of his recent statement are to be believed. Apple though has chosen to keep mum on this matter even now that people have really got fed up of asking.
Verizon iphone 4 repair service at Dr. Cell Phone
However, amidst the resentful silence of Steve Jobs, the Chief Executive Officer of Verizon Wireless has spoken up and made sure that everyone is hearing. Verizon CEO has confirmed that Apple has indeed offered the big reds a piece of the fourth generation of the iPhone but he also said that the smartphone would not be launched by him.
He said Apple would be entitled to the launch announcement for the same. May be he feels that is only just given how Mr. Jobs is splendid at introducing new products to the market and to the media and the buyers.
No, the Verizon boss did not say it all at once but saved his skin from the people by admitting what really is nothing but a fact. This time around the big reds CEO had more to say than the arbitrary possibility of an iPhone deal. The statements from the carrier have just gotten bolder and bolder. One of the key features of the iPhone ads being aired by Verizon is a complete thrashing of AT&T as the network carrying the iPhone from Apple.
However, there had also been reports of T-mobile being in the frame as far as the iPhone 4 is concerned; but alas that is not to be. T-Mobile has confirmed that they do not have the iPhone 4 yet, and the Verizon iPhone 4 is the only real news. However, facts keep changing with time and we hope this one does too.
As far as the repair services are concerned specially the cracked screen repair or the antenna repairs, most repairs that are already available for AT&T iPhone 4 will remain the same for Verizon iPhone 4. Dr. Cell Phone continues to offer 30 min turn around time on most iPhone’s brought in for repairs. Mail-in repairs turn around time remains as low as one business day.

A recent study conducted by SquareTrade Warranties found that glass breaking on iPhone 4’s increased by 82% compared to iPhone 3GS models.
The study surveyed 20,000 iPhone 4 accidents covered by SquareTrade, the largest independent warranty provider, and compared it to the iPhone 3GS. Not only are iPhone 4 screens almost twice as likely to crack as their predecessors, but owners’ accident rate for the device is 68% higher than for the previous device. Almost 5% of iPhone 4 users report an accident within the first four months of owning the device.
Screen damage makes up a vast majority of iPhone 4 accidents, the study said, accounting for more than 4/5’s of all reported accidents. The study also noted that at least a quarter of all accidents involved the glass covering the back of the device.
iPhone 4 glass screen repair available at Dr. Cell Phone
The reason for all the glass breaking? SquareTrade explains: “Not only has the scratchable surface area doubled, the new aluminosilicate Gorilla glass used in the iPhone 4 doesn’t seem any less likely to break than previous models.”
As far as non-accident related hardware malfunctions, fewer than 0.5% of claims make up that category — in line with the 3GS.
“It’s important to take the accident rate into perspective,” SquareTrade said. “Overall, the iPhone is still a very well constructed device, with a non-accident malfunction rate much lower than most other consumer electronics.”
Though the report seems intriguing and of-course having a broken iPhone 4 could be very frustrating experience at times. Good news is Dr. Cell Phone offers iPhone 4 cracked glass repair service at very affordable costs with an average turnaround time of one business day. If you manage to get your shattered iPhone 4 to one of the Dr. Cell Phone Repair centers, the highly experienced technicians can repair your iPhone while you wait.

Remember the halcyon days of last week, when the Fring iPhone app supported video calls over 3G to any Fring or Skype user? Fun while it lasted. Today comes news that Skype has blocked Fring altogether. Or did they?
Dr. Cell Phone Provides repairs for iPhone 4, HTC EVO 4G and other video calling devices
The reported move ends a beautiful four year relationship between Fring and Skype. After the updated Fring app launched, a huge volume of calls caused necessitated that Fring “temporarily reduce support” to Skype. At that point, according to a Fring spokesperson, Skype “demanded that [they] NOT restore connectivity.”
As often happens in a messy breakup, Skype has a different version of events, stating unequivocally that “there is no truth to Fring’s claims that Skype blocked them, it was their decision and choice to withdraw Skype functionality.” At the same time, they make clear that Fring violated Skype’s terms by “misusing the Skype software in ways which it was not designed for and which does not scale to meet consumer demand.”
So in a nutshell, if I’m parsing this correctly: Fring introduces great Skype functionality foriPhone 4 video chat. Demand for said functionality causes Fring to temporarily pull Skype support. Pulling Skype support suddenly violates Skype license agreement, ergo Skype will no longer play nice with Fring. Or not, depending on who you ask.
The fact remains that no matter how much he said/she said gets thrown about here, we all just lost a pretty killer feature.
This whole ordeal also raises a bigger question: why is there no Skype app for iPhone that supports video chat? Or that does iOS4 background calling? It’s clear that Skype is acting defensively in this case; I just wish they had something more robust that they were defending, since third parties like Fring have to date been our only option.
we understand how painful it is when the Screen on your loved video chat device (iPhone 4 or Evo 4G) breaks, thats why we continue to offer same day repair service for Cracked Screen repair on all higher end PDA’s. Do recommend us to any of your friends and family to get their phone back on track in no time.
If you guys know any other application that supports video chat on Apple iPhone 4 or EVO 4G feel free to share your thoughts and comments.

The iPhone might have a great on screen text input mechanism. But sadly, there are people on the face of this planet who still prefer the feel of a real keyboard to the nothingness of a touchscreen text input method. Unfortunately, since the smart alecs at Apple chose to ignore these poor mortals by choosing not to make the iPhone bulkier by adding a physical keyboard, they were left with no choice but to turn to the likes of RIM and Nokia who still cater to them by churning out devices with excellent QWERTY keypads.
 iPhone 4 Keyboard Repair
But what if you want the UI of the iPhone and the feel of a physical keypad at the same time? Well, help is here in the form of Nuu Mini case for the iPhone 4 that adds an interesting physical keyboard to the phone. Now, if you’re wondering how the keyboard connects to the iPhone, let us inform you that its not via the dock connector rather, via Bluetooth!
This is expected to go on sale by end of 2010 and would be priced at around the $60 mark.

As expected, Steve Jobs announced that Apple would offer free rubber “bumpers” to anyone who bought an iPhone 4 in order to fix the problem caused by the antenna’s design flaw. However, Jobs did not promise a hardware fix which would alleviate the problem without marring the phone’s aesthetic.
“We’re not perfect,” Jobs told reporters. “Phones aren’t perfect either,” adding, “but we want to make all of our users happy.”
 Apple iPhone 4 Antenna Fix
The free offer is available through Sept. 30, and a full refund will be issued to those who already bought the $29 case. The deal will appear on Apple’s website “late next week,” and if the supply of bumpers runs out, Apple will offer “a choice of cases,” presumably all in the $29-or-less price range.
“It’s very hard to escape the conclusion that there is a problem,” Jobs said, “but that problem is affecting a very small percentage of our users.”
During the Q&A period following the press conference, Jobs did offer an apology to customers: “To our customers who are affected by the issue, we are deeply sorry,” adding, “To those investors who bought the stock and are down by $5, I have no apology.”
Apple opened the event with a jab at the media’s overreaction to the antenna issue, playing a video of Jonathan Mann’s ”The iPhone 4 Antenna Song,” which includes the lyrics: “If you don’t want an iPhone 4 don’t buy it. If you bought one and you don’t like it, bring it back … but you know you won’t.”
Jobs announced that Apple had sold more than 3 million iPhone 4s in three weeks, and that it’s been judged the No. 1 smart phone by many publications, including Consumer Reports, who had withheld a “recommended” rating because of the antenna issue.
Jobs also said that the problem itself had not caused an unusual upsurge in customer-support calls. He said that just 0.55 percent of iPhone 4 owners have called tech support, adding “historically … this is not a large number.”
According to AT&T’s dropped-call analysis, the iPhone 4 dropped 1 percent more calls than its predecessor, the iPhone 3GS.
The antenna problem has plagued the iPhone 4 since the first days of its release. Though its impact on calling has perhaps been overdramatized, it is a demonstrable issue: Hold your hand too tightly around the bottom of the phone, and in many cases you will lose reception, and perhaps drop a call.
If you are one of the unlucky Apple Customers experiencing the Antenna problem and want to get a permanent fix for the problem, talk to Dr. Cell Phone and see if the Antenna assembly from inside the phone can be replaced with a brand new one.

Having iPhone 4 reception problems? Try adjusting your grip. That’s the advice from Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who yesterday responded to press queries about a possible antenna issue with a typically terse rejoinder: “Just avoid holding it in that way.”
Meanwhile, Apple PR issued a longer statement about the iPhone 4, reminding bloggers and journalists that all cell phones are vulnerable to antenna issues and urging consumers to consider purchasing a plastic case for their Apple handset.
iPhone 4 Repairs & Diagnostics available at Dr. Cell Phone
“Gripping any phone will result in some attenuation of its antenna performance with certain places being worse than others depending on the placement of the antennas. This is a fact of life for every wireless phone,” Apple said in its statement. “If you ever experience this on your Phone 4, avoid gripping it in the lower left corner in a way that covers both sides of the black strip in the metal band, or simply use one of many available cases.”
As we reported yesterday, Apple was slammed with complaints yesterday about a range of issues with the new iPhone 4, including a yellow blotch – possibly glue residue – which appears under the screen glass of some iPhone 4s. But the most buzzed-about iPhone 4 problem was fuzzy reception. Many reported that if they gripped the iPhone 4 on the bottom left corner – or with their left hand – the reception quickly tailed off.
“I have [an iPhone] 3G phone and an iPhone 4 sitting side by side and the 3G will have full service and the iPhone 4 either says searching, no service, or has 1 or 2 bars,” one of our readers, “Ziggy,” wrote yesterday.
“Jose” wrote to us that he “bought my iPhone 4 yesterday in France, and I got both problems, the reception drops to nothing when holding the phone, and the yellow blob across the screen.”
While most of our commenters had negative anecdotes, reader “Mikeyp” said that, “My service works lovely in [Virginia]. No problems with my reception (knock on wood).”
Still, reception issues seemed unlikely to sink the launch of the iPhone 4, which was off to a good start yesterday. USA Today reports that Apple outlets in dozens of cities around the country – including Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles – had sold out of the iPhone 4, as had BestBuy and RadioShack.
Though Apple would avoid one of the most important issues on iPhone 4, the reception problem by suggesting the users not to hold their iPhone 4 in a certain way. Dr. Cell Phone is committed to diagnosing the issues with the hardware and providing Repair Solutions, as they do with HTC and other models. If you think just holding the phone in a certain angle doesn’t solve the reception (signal) problem, you can bring it in to one of Dr. Cell Phone’s repair centers to have your iPhone diagnosed for possible Antenna problems.
