Due to the frequent firmware mishaps, the iPhone 3G would simply need to be restored to set back to factory settings. The first step that is necessary before any repair is to backup your data. In order to restore your iPhone, attach your USB cable to the computer and launch iTunes. Click the Restore button that is located on the launched screen of iTunes (NOTE: restoring your iPhone 3G will erase any data on the phone and will remove jailbreak.) Once the restore process is complete, let the phone fully charge then use.
